About Amby

Amby delivers recruitment services to Norwegian companies as part of a broader HR as a Service (HRaaS) offering. Part of this is embedded recruiters, meaning recruiters who work closely with and partly inside the customer's own organisation, not just as an external supplier on the sidelines.

That means Amby recruits regularly and at volume on behalf of its clients, and sets high standards for whether the information candidates provide is actually accurate, both for Amby's own sake and for clients who trust their recommendations.

The challenge

Before Approof, employment and education verification was something Amby had to do manually, or rely on candidates having provided correct information in their CV and interviews. That left room for discrepancies to be overlooked, especially in processes with many candidates or tight deadlines for the client.

What Approof uncovered

In one case Amby ran through Approof, a discrepancy was uncovered between what the candidate had stated in their CV and what could actually be verified. The discrepancy did not emerge from the CV or the standard interview process, and only became visible through structured verification.

Without it, it would likely not have been caught until after the hire was a fact.

The result

The finding meant Amby could make an informed decision before hiring, instead of discovering it afterwards, with the cost in time, trust and potentially a bad hire.

Since then, Approof has become a fixed part of quality assurance in all of Amby's recruitment processes, both for their own hires and when recruiting on behalf of clients. In addition to the extra assurance itself, Approof saves them time and administration, and candidates experience a smoother process than with manual verification.
